Packed vs. Dead

There’s two Asian fast food places on Robson St. at Homer.
Both are equally tasty.
Ebi Ten is always packed.  Coco Noodle Express is always dead.
The owner of Coco Noodle Express told me today that it’s slow because of the economy.  Ya.

His front windows are covered in a menu with faded photos and prices.   People walk up to Coco Noodle Express, look at a faded bowl of noodles for $8, and keep walking.  2 doors down, they walk IN to Ebi Ten (which has nothing on the windows but a small lit up logo) and aahhh… they’re already warmer.  The menu is inside the restaurant above someone at the counter greeting them with a smile.

People and atmosphere always have a higher chance of winning someone over than prices and a photo.

It’s the same in your business.   Oh yes it is.
