Tamara Taggart’s one time co-hosting of ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’ caused a 56% spike in CTV’s regular viewing of the show.  Almost 1/2 a million people across Canada tuned in, and I bet the numbers have stayed higher than they were before.

This works with any company.  Offbeat events that are properly executed and promoted cause spikes in brand recognition and can help increase sales long term.
