The new Windows Kin One phone just launched with a promise to truly investigate whether Brooklyn comedian Rosa Salazar is really friends with her 800 Facebook/MySpace/Twitter friends.

Time will tell if the masses follow Rosa’s quest to personally investigate her database of so-called friends, but the Kin team definitely scored a perfect contender and great campaign theme.

A product launch gets WAY more traction if it leads people on a journey – especially with something timely and topical.
